The History of Soccer

The Begining of Soccer

No one knows exactly when Soccer was invented or where, but Soccer dates back to about 3000 years ago at 1004 BC. Surprisingly it was said that Japan was the earliest form of Soccer in which players kicked the ball around on a small field. Many other nations also were playing games simular to Soccer that include China who used a leather ball filled with hair. It is a known fact that China and Japan played each other in 611 AD and was probably other games played. The Romans played a bloody Soccer with 27 players on each team. The teams played so agressively that 66 percent of them had to be sent to the hospital after 50 minutes.

Soccer's a Demon

When King Edward was king he passed laws that jailed anyone who played Soccer. King Edward proclamied " For as much as there is a great roar in the city caused by hustling over large balls, from which many eveils shall arise, which god forbid, oj behalf of the king, on pain of imprisonment, such game to be used in the city of the future. Eventually Soccer was declared a waste of time by English sheiffs. King Henry IV as well as King Henry VII passed laws against the sport. Queen Elisabeth 1 had Soccer players jailed for a week with follow-up church penance.[ not finished yet]
