Here are some basic things you need to know and do to move on to the Skills Guides. This guide is for new people to the game of Soccer.

Dribbling

Make sure you get a pretty good feel for the ball the ball cannot be kicked to far ahead of you. Try to master both feet with the inside and outside of your feet. To do this just keep practicing. If you want try a turn like a pull-back where you put your foot on the top of the ball and pull it backwards and turn. Try some basic moves like just hitting it away from a cone with your outside and inside. If you are playing Rec then this can fake out many defenders if you learn how to do it quick because they do usually do not know how to properally defend.

Passing

Get a passing buddy and practice with him. Now to pass you first have to put your foot flat on the ground. Then put your opposite foot pointing in the direction of where you want to pass it to. Then hit it with the side of your foot. Play fun games that work on your passing such as hitting the ball between your friend's legs. There are other fun passing games in the Passing guide[soon]. Passing is the most important part of Soccer so master it.

Shooting

Practice shooting on a goal if possible. Hit the ball with your laces as they say. But in more simple terms hit it around your big toe. For a lower shot lean foward and for a high one get under the ball and bend back. But that may seem pretty complicated right now. So manely jsu tfocus on hitting the ball with your foot in the right spot.

Now that you have learned some basic skills of the skill guides try to learn the more advanced stuff. Next stop is the Finishing Guide.
